Synopsis: Melody Harper has become obsessed with carrying on her recently deceased father’s legacy as a violinist, but her anxiety has been affecting her ability to perform well. At an important orchestra audition waiting for the final round of auditions, Melody drops the wilted rose her father gave her at her last performance and begins to experience painful headaches and other concerning symptoms. She doesn’t notice the Reaper has begun stalking her. While her brother Erik tries to get her to see a doctor and give herself a break Melody refuses to divert from her mission. During her final audition, the Reaper finally comes for her, and Melody pleads for her life. In this moment she realizes that all she wants is to be allowed to finish her piece and play for herself instead of with all the anxiety she’s had fearing what others will think. She takes the Reaper’s hand and finally plays beautifully just for herself. Even when her brother runs to her fallen form her music continues and there is a small smile frozen on her face. Down the stage Melody’s rose lies amongst the Reaper’s fog, now once again vibrant and alive.
