Synopsis: A skilled diamond thief, renowned for stealing only the most exquisite gems, sets his sights on a rare and pristine diamond recently purchased by a well-known merchant. The thief follows the merchant onto a train, determined to pick his pocket and steal the precious stone. Despite the thief’s expertise and years of experience, he is unable to locate the diamond throughout the journey.
Frustrated and desperate, the thief eventually confronts the merchant, revealing his identity and demanding to know how the merchant managed to conceal the gem so effectively.
Amidst the shadows and secrets of 1950s Shanghai, a battle of wits ensues, leaving the thief questioning not just the diamond’s location, but the very nature of his pursuit—and perhaps, himself.
