Synopsis: Max is an introverted artist living on her own for the first time. She’ll do anything to protect her new independence at the cost of any social life. The only interaction Max has is with a teddy named Dr. Bear, who she hears speaking all her worst thoughts back to her. When a friendly missionary shows up to her door, Max fears he is a spy for her overbearing mother. After a series of misguided suggestions from Dr. Bear, Max must dig herself deeper to protect her privacy, dodge the nosy questions of her well-meaning landlady, and keep the (literal) skeletons in her closet.
