Synopsis: Imagine yourself in your worst nightmare. Every feeling you have is amplified, every breath you take is a struggle and each thought that comes crashing into your mind is always the worst it could be. You feel like you’re drowning and no one is coming to save you.

These feelings of helplessness and fragility are unfortunately commonplace when you suffer with anxiety, and in our short film, “DISTORTION” we explore how these emotions can run riot and can create a world in which everything becomes a living hell for the sufferer.

Social anxiety is something which all of us, at some point in our lives will experience, with degrees of varying severity, and by creating this story we hope to inspire people to realise that the nightmare their head has created can be fought back against. Anxiety can be overcome and there is always hope of recovery. Our minds are powerful things, but sometimes they lie. That hell you think you are living in, can be escaped from. We are always stronger than this disorder, and there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
